• Discuss financial planning: Continue discussions about budgeting, savings, and managing finances in college. Financial literacy is a gift that keeps on giving.

• Prepare for the transition: Help your student get ready for the move to college. Checklists for dorm essentials and first-day tips can be very useful.

• Stay involved: Keep the lines of communication open. College is a big adjustment, and your support will be crucial as your student navigates new challenges.
